Great Plains Nursery is a family owned business located near Weston, Nebraska. Owner, Heather Byers, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture Production from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.  GPN supplies plants to designers, landscapers and retail nurseries across the state of Nebraska.

We are proud to be ambassadors and a participating nursery of ReTree Nebraska.  “ReTree Nebraska is a 10-year cooperative initiative to raise public awareness of the value of trees, reverse the decline of Nebraska’s tree and forest resources and improve the health and sustainability of trees and forests across our state for future generations.  The primary goal of ReTree is to work in partnership with people across Nebraska to foster the proper planting and maintenance of 1 million new trees by 2017.” You’ll find many of ReTree’s suggested species throughout our product list.

Great Plains Nursery promotes environment-friendly landscapes by providing plants that would thrive in our natural conditions. These low maintenance plants would eliminate the need for toxic chemicals, conserve water, give landscapes a true sense of place, and provide havens for wildlife.
